I just got back from an amazing weekend with Estancia La Jolla and The Hotel Girls. I was born and raised in San Diego so taking to 2-hour trek down the I-405 from Los Angeles is easy, when it means I get to go back to a place that still feels like home for so many reasons.
This weekend Jess, Katie, Kim, and I found ourselves at one of the dreamiest hotels in La Jolla, the Estancia. It was just the quiet, relaxing girls getaway the doctor ordered. We felt like we were in our own little world for the weekend. You don’t even need to step foot off the property if you don’t want to. Which also makes it the perfect stay-cation for anyone already in San Diego or for us, Southern-California natives.
Every corner of the hotel is picturesque. The hole is just filled with Spanish-inspired architecture, colorful tiles, and an array of succulents. I am already dreaming about having a wedding there. Trust me when I say you will be taking picture at every turn.
The hotel is big enough to feel like you have it all to yourself in some places making it the perfect place to relax and recharge.
We also found one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve had in a while, Mustangs and Burrows – might I recommend the Blackened Swordfish Tacos and their signature margarita? But the delicious food doesn’t stop there, they even have a wine bar, a cafe, and a Baja-inspired restaurant. When it comes to quality of food available within a hotel, the Estancia La Jolla takes the cake.
From the moment we checked in at the Estancia La Jolla to the last drops of our margaritas, we enjoyed ourselves every second. It is safe to say that myself and The Hotel Girls will be back soon!
