It’s been almost a year since my last home post but, now that I am all settled in to my new apartment, get ready for so much more home content and decor inspo!
If you follow me on Instagram, then you might already know that I recently moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend, Richie! We took a big step in our relationship and found our own apartment together. We got rid of (almost) all of our furniture and home decor and decided to focus on creating a space we both love, together.
With virtually no furniture (except for a bed) and only a handful of decor pieces, we are designing our new space from scratch! We basically have a blank canvas on our hands and I cannot wait to show you guys what we do with the space.
It is no secret that decorating and furnishing a home takes a lot of time and money if you want to do it right. So I am trying to be patient with the process! Plus, we are also balling on a budget so, I am excited to show you some more affordable alternative to bougie home decor and some creative DIYs along the way.
In the meantime I wanted to share all of the home decor inspo I have been pinning lately along with my current wishlist for our home!
Make sure to following along on my Instagram stories as I share the process of designing our space! I will be asking you for plenty of opinions, ideas, and feedback along the way!
My Home Style
I added tons of images below to really highlight my style when it comes to interior design but, overall I would say I am drawn to light airy spaces with lots of natural colors and textures. I love mixing a handful of different styles from minimalist to modern to boho to a touch of western influence. It’s like Kim and Kanye’s “minimal monastery” home meets a mid-century modern Palm Spring home with a dash of a bohemian bungalow. But to be quite honest, my style is ever changing as I travel and discover new places!
His Home Style
Richie and I are somewhat similar in our design styles, we both like the idea of a sleek, modern, and updated home. However, Richie is into a much darker color palette when it comes to design, and he aesthetic is definitely much more masculine then I anticipated. He is also all about the functionality of items and not over decorating – something that has cause a handful of design debates already, haha!
