Looking Forward

Jan

Well, I am writing this two days into 2018 and it is crazy another year has come and gone. I know it can be a little bit of a cliche but this is always a good time to reflect on what you did (or did not) accomplish. It is important to take the time to reflect on our life. For me the end of the year is always a crazy busy time between holiday parties, visiting families, and just taking time to prepare for the new year. Hense why I have been so MIA the past few weeks (OOPS)!

A lot happened to me this year both personally and professionally. It was exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. It is incredible took look back at what can happen in a year, how far life can take you. Without diving into too much personal detail I can seriously say life does get better. Even when its hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when you’re going through a rough patch, take the time you need to take care of yourself and life will get better, even if it takes a while.

2017 at a Glance

I battled and overcame some serious health issues.

I left the office life to work remotely full-time as a Marketing Director.

I moved to LA.

My boyfriend and I finally ended two years of long distance.

My blog (and my dog) turned 1!

I traveled to some new places like NYC, Joshua Tree, and Paso Robles.

Went to a few music festivals, took a few road trips, and made a heck of a lot of memories.

Looking Forward to 2018

new year 2018 bucketlist

This year I decided to create a bucket list, rather than one specific resolution. Above is all of the things I want to do in the new year. This year I want to be adventurous, I want to try new things, and I definitely want to travel! I did not want to fill my bucket list is unrealistic goals or clutter it with too many options. Instead, I filled it with well thought out things I have been wanting to do for years! I will check back with you in 365 days and let you know how it goes.

Along with my bucket list, I have chosen a few other things to focus on as well.

Wellness

This year I want to make my wellness a priority. I am talking mind, body, spirit wellness. Not only do I want to continue to eat healthily and work out but I also want to focus on adding meditation to my daily routine by doing guided meditation and yoga. I am also adding Care/of vitamins to my everyday health routine. You take a personalized quiz and get a month of daily vitamins based on your needs and health goals! Career

There are a lot of things I want to do related to my career this year. As many of you may know I currently work full-time remotely. Because I work from my house there are days (sometimes a few in a row) where the only time I go outside is to walk my dog and I don’t both to change out of PJs. This year I want to focus on getting out of the house more. I want to work from coffee shops and find a co-working space that works with my schedule and doesn’t break the bank. I also want to stay organized and step one was buying this adorable planner, which I have set the goal of using every week!

Blogging

This is my year of blogging! I have a lot in store for you guys that I cannot wait to share. We are getting back to my regular posting schedule (2 times a week) with the help of a trusty content calendar.  As Always, I will be sharing with you daily outfit inspiration, along with some posts about life, beauty, and blogging!

Vlogging

I know I have written time and time again about how I really want to ramp up the videos I create. It has taken me a while to really hone in on what type of videos I want to create. I got really frustrated for a few months last year not being happy with the content I created. This year I decided I am going to focus on creating lookbooks and travel vlogs because those have always been my favorite. 🙂

Travel

This year I want to make traveling more of a priority. Whether it is in or outside of the country I want to see more of the world and explore new places! A few places on my list are England, Mexico, Washington, Boston, and NYC (again).

Lastly, here are some goals I have set aside for the new year:

New Year 2018 goals

It feels good to sit down and reflect on the year, it feels even better to look forward to the future and think about all of the things that could happen this year! I hope only the best for each one of you that read this, let’s make 2018 the best year yet! 🙂

I definitely want to eat less meat this year too, and it’s such an easy goal to achieve!
