Looking to 2019

Every year I sit down to write an end of the year post all about my new year’s resolutions and goals. It is amazing how fast time files. If you’re like me the last month of the new year is always a rough one. Like a lot of people, I always tend to get in a funk as the year wraps up. Overwhelmed with meeting goals, wrapping deadline, getting ready for the holidays, and just drained creatively. But, every-time without a doubt it all works out.

Bills get paid, presents get bought, and deadlines are met. The the last few weeks are spent on a much needed holiday with family and friends.

This year, knowing the end-of-the-year funk was eventually going to hit, I put my blog on the back burner. I slowed down on the amount of content I created and didn’t stress myself out over numbers and engagement. Instead I focused on wrapping up some big deadline at my full-time job and brainstorming blog content and goals for the new year.

I took the time to sit down and think about where I wanted to take my blog, what platforms I wanted to utilize, and what content I want to share with all of you.

I also took the time to reflect on my 2018 goals and remember just how amazing the year was. Sure, I didn’t hit all of my goals or cross out everything on my to-do list. But, I did get some amazing opportunities along the way and this year I chose to focus on the GOOD to reignite me in the new year.

2018 In Review:

At the end of this blog post I am going to share some of my favorite photos and moments for 2018, cause man there were a lot of them! My boyfriend, Richie and I got to cross a handful of things off our bucket list from staying in an Airstream in Joshua Tree, Camping in Yosemite, heading to Coachella for the first time and booking a flight to Italy!

I also got to work with some of my dream brands this year! I got to redesign my room in partnership with Urban Outfitters, started working with brands like Revolve, PacSun, Lulu’s, and Foray. I also dove head first into shifting my vision and sharing more about my passion for skincare + beauty.

I started working with my photographer Miles from, @milesofcolor. Hiring him was one of the best decisions I made in 2018. He listened to me and helped me realize and execute the vision I had for my content. I know 2019 is going to be huge for the both us, we are both working together to tackle and create mote video content for you guys!

2019 Goals + Resolutions

Move More + Focus on a Healthy Lifestyle

This year I want to move more. Wether it’s more visits to the gym, a few mike hikes each month, walking my dog, or just adventuring outdoors. All while maintain a healthy diet. It’s not about the number on the scale or the minutes I run. I just about prioritizing being happy and healthy this year

Create More Video Content

In 2019 I am shifting gears and focusing on creating quality video content to keep you (and myself) inspired. (PS – this might be a previous 2018 goal I really failed at)

Travel More

I have no idea how I am going to top the epic year of travel 2018 brought, but I always want to prioritizing traveling and experiencing new places every year.

Foster More Friendships

Blogging had brought me some absolutely incredible friendships. I want to continue to foster deeper friendships that bring me inspiration and keep my grounded.

xx Allison
