It’s no secret that I’m a long time lover of the Estancia La Jolla. Ever since my first stay in 2019, I make it a point to go back time and time again. Wether you’re traveling from far away or simply looking for a little staycation, the Estancia is the perfect spot. The ground are nestled into La Jolla, leaving you with the perfect atmosphere to relax and reset.
You practically don’t even have to leave the hotel if you don’t want to. With a pool, gym, multiple restaurants, spa and grassy areas for lounging, why would you? Every corner of the hotel is picturesque. The hole is just filled with Spanish-inspired architecture, colorful tiles, and an array of succulents. Every time I walk through the main courtyard I think about how stunning it would be to have a wedding. Trust me when I say you will be taking picture at every turn.
The Estancia also is home to one of my favorite Mexican inspired restaurants, Mustangs and Burrows – might I recommend the Duck Tacos and their signature margarita? But the delicious food doesn’t stop there, they even have a wine bar, a cafe, a breakfast spot and upscale dining restaurant if you’re feeling fancy. Not to mention there are plenty of snacks, drinks and treats available at the pool bar! When it comes to quality of food available within a hotel, the Estancia La Jolla takes the cake.
Want to explore outside of the Estancia? Some of my favorite places to check out when I’m in the area include: Morning Glory, Born and Raised, Herringbone La Jolla, and Dukes. Also, for coffee you have to pop into Better Buzzed in La Jolla!
Honestly, I’ve stayed at the Estancia for a variety of reasons over the years! From solo staycations, girls trips, a getaway with my mom, and most recently a bachelorette party for my girl, Kelsey! It’s safe to say the Estancia is the perfect spot for some much needed R & R.
