It’s October, and we all know what that means- Pumpkin Spice Lattes, fall colored leaves, and finally some much-needed sweater weather. More importantly, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I strive to keep my blog focused on fashion and beauty with the occasional travel and foodie tips, but this week I wanted to talk about something a little different, breast cancer. Each and everyone one of us knows what breast cancer is and how it not only affects women who are diagnosed with breast cancer, but also her support system, friends, and family.
“Strong like a Woman”
The women I know who are fighting breast cancer are the strongest women I have ever met. That is why this t-shirt couldn’t be more fitting to help raise money for those battling breast cancer and those working to find a cure. “Strong like a woman.” You bet I will be rocking this shirt all month long to support women around the world who have had to face such a terrible illness.
Be smart, like the woman you are and learn the warning signs of breast cancer. Take care of yourself and be healthy. Below are some helpful resources on the warning signs of breast cancer, how to check yourself for these signs, and when you need to see your doctor:
