This month I decided to bring one of my favorite Instagram story series to the blog! Today I am rounding up all my empties from this month and sharing my thoughts on each product.
Summer Fridays Amino Acid Cleanser
File this face wash under my ride or die skin care products. No need to double cleanse, it gets all your makeup off, without stripping your skin. Its hydrating and gentle. Overall, obsessed!
Summer Fridays Gel Cream
I was very surprised at how much I loved this product. I honestly put off trying it because I’m not usually a fan of Gel Creams, but this one is AMAZING. Lightweight and hydrating, soaks into the skin and is perfect under makeup. Definitely, another Summer Fridays fave!
St. Topez x Ashley Graham
This product is another holy grail addition. It gives you a perfect, streak free tan. My hands/feet were flawless and I ended up a gorgeous caramel color. I use this to buff the tanner onto my hands, feet and face. The bronzer does transfer, so I sleep in a duvet cover to protect my sheets and rinse off in the morning. Only bummer is the price point $55 – but worth it for special occasions or vacation. I got 4 full body tans out of the one bottle.
Drunk Elephant Retinol
My first 1% retinol, and I am obsessed. The bottle lasts a long time and helps my dark spots and discoloration. I use it sparingly, because of the price. The product is naturally yellow, but don’t use too much or it’ll stain your pillow. 1% is a high concentration of retinol, so I love that.
Lux Unfiltered
My current go-to gradual tanner that doesn’t transfer. I use a mousse to get a deep tan and this to maintain my glow. It is a very subtle and natural color that needs to be built up if you are using as your main self tanner. I got 5 full body tans (with a bit left over). It leaves no residue and soaks into your skin so well. An added bonus is that is is definitely hydrating!
Living Proof Dry Blast Volume Spray
This is my fifth empty bottle of my favorite volume spray. Spritz into your roots for bomb volume – a little goes a long way. The bottle lasts a long time, and you can use fingers to re-volumize throughout the day. Definitely a must have in my hair routine.
Alo Bodywash
Let’s just say I’m surprised that an active wear line can make body care this lux. Easily one of my favorite body washes! It’s super hydrating, has no weird residue, a little goes a LONG way and feels lux. My skin feels nourished and hydrated even after I get out of the shower. It has a bright citrus, herbal botanical and vanilla scent, which I love.
Ordinary Peel
This product was a no-go for me. I wanted to love it, and I believe it’s worth the hype for a ton of people. The price point is great, it just doesn’t work with my skin. I tried it at least a dozen times to try to love it, but it broke me out and gave me terrible acne. I’m no newbie when it comes to AHA/BHA and have plenty of other masks and products I prefer. Sadly this one is getting tossed.
